'Sojourners' features Jville Johnnie Helm on lead and acoustic guitars and vocals, Tommie Helm on acoustic guitar, harmonica and vocals, J. Patrick Asher on bass and vocals, Alex Blair on bass and extra instrumentation, Jake Carter on snare, tambourine and cajon, Jerry Standley on keyboards, Blake Helm on electric drums, and Jeff Shelton on drums.

It was envisioned by Tommie Helm of Spirit & Understanding, Inc. ministries of Jacksonville, Texas.
The DVD cover shows the patriotic sign that brought the project together and was filmed at the Cy Remington Ranch in Cherokee County, Texas in 2010.
